Our Story

Rooted in the rich history of left handed golf in Minnesota, MNLH Golf is preceded by a yearly Lefty-specific tournament dating back to at least 1965 with some records dating back to the 1930’s.

Bolstered by that history, MNLH Golf has a great desire to carry the torch for the lefty golf community for many years to come. 

Our story began in 2022 after I took over hosting duties and moved the tournament to Riverwood National Golf Course in Otsego, Minnesota. Thanks to a core group of dedicated lefties, the tournament had carried on yearly, but lefties were missing a true community. Truly, the evening after the event ended, I sat on the patio with Brett and talked about my vision for what this community could be. I was rudderless but excited. In spite of this, Brett shared the vision and gave MNLH Golf the real push we needed to get off the ground. Together, we’ve endeavored to build the community that lefty golfers in the state deserve.

You’ve found just that, your oasis in the vast arid desert of lefty golf plight and despair. The State Tournament is the flagship, but we are working hard to harness the energy and pride inherent in all lefty golfers to be your solution for southpaw camaraderie.
